“At St Thomas More Catholic Primary School we believe that all children, regardless of ability, have the right to an education which enables them to reach their full potential.”

Although St Thomas More Primary school is a comparatively large school we like to think of ourselves as an extension of the children’s families and will always strive to work in partnership with parents and carers to achieve the best for all our students. We know that parents are a child’s first and most important educators and constantly strive to develop our relationships with families.

We believe in the “growth mind set” and encourage children not to view themselves as inherently “good” or “bad” at anything but to constantly strive to be better in everything they do. They know that we don’t say, “I can’t do it”, we say, “I can’t do it YET.”

I joined St Thomas More in September 2016 after ten years working in school leadership in London, both at headteacher and local authority advisory levels. I am available in the school playground most days before school so please feel free to come and say hello.”

Morgan Williams - Headteacher

Our school motto: "Learn and grow as God's holy people" is central to our mission and we believe that academic & spiritual education should go hand in hand.

Do you want to know more about how your child learns?  Neuroscience is the study of how the brain works.  This year we will be using recent advances in this field to improve our children’s learning experience in school using The Thrive Approach.  There will be an information session for parents and carers about The Thrive Approach in the school hall at 6.30pm on Tuesday 11th September 2018.  Please come along and learn more.

Thank you to all members of our school community for their support during our recent Ofsted inspection. The report is now available to read in the “statutory information” section of our web site.
